My Version of StreamSource
For any other streamers looking to have the text outputs like I have on stream of my CMDR name, ship name, current system, etcetera; I have uploaded my personally modified fork of the ED Market Connector plugin to GitHub at https://github.com/NiamhKami/EDMC-StreamSource
Since 2024 I’ve been running a personally modified fork of Athanasius’ fork of Marginal’s StreamSource. Marginal had stopped maintaining their repo in 2019 and Athanasius made a fork in 2022. Athanasius stopped maintaining their fork in 2025 and made it read only stating that they had moved on from all things Elite: Dangerous. So I’ve uploaded my own fork that I’ve been personally running since 2024 up on GitHub.
The major functional change in my fork from Athanasius’ fork and the reason I had made my personal fork was to have it also output a text file for the CMDR name, which Athanasius’ fork did not do. Since then I had also updated the deprecated get function to get_str, and also brought the ship name mapping directly in, since Athanasius’ version was pulling from the edmc_data repo which was really slow to update, for example the Lynx Highliner still hasn’t been updated into there 5 months since it was released.
